What happens to a smart lock in a power cut?
Nothing changes. A HomeEaze lock runs on its own batteries, not on your home's power, and face, fingerprint, PIN, card and key all keep working without Wi-Fi or internet.
What if the batteries run out?
Replacing the batteries takes a couple of minutes. If they ever run completely flat, you can power the lock from outside with a USB-C cable, or open it with the mechanical key.
Can I open the door without my phone or internet?
Yes. The app is just one way in. Face, palm, fingerprint, PIN, card and the key all work offline.
Will a smart lock fit my main door?
Most wooden and metal main doors in Indian homes can take one. On the free home visit we check your door's thickness, material and existing lock, and confirm the right fit before anything is installed.
Can I give a code to my maid, driver or guests?
Yes. Each person can have their own PIN, card or fingerprint, and you can add or remove access from the app at any time. The app shows who came in and when.
Can I unlock the door for someone when I'm not at home?
Yes. With the HomeEaze app you can open the door from anywhere, for a relative, a tenant or a service visit, and the lock locks itself again afterwards.
Is a smart lock safe?
The door auto-locks behind you, every entry is recorded in the app, and you can remove anyone's access instantly. That's more control than a normal key, which can be copied without you knowing.
